The General tab provides overall information on the Warehouse that is being created/edited and enables linking/unlinking other entities to the Warehouse.
The following general options are available for a Warehouse:
Field | Description |
Warehouse | The name of the edited Warehouse. Once the Warehouse is created, the name cannot be changed. |
Warehouse Type | Indicates the type of the edited Warehouse. The type can be
used to indicate the purpose that the given Warehouse serves.
The available types are:

Facility | Assignment of a Warehouse to a Facility. |
Building | Indicates the building in which the Warehouse is located. |
Short/Medium/Extended Description | The localizable descriptions of the Warehouse. |
Last Location | For future use. The last Location in the Warehouse. It can indicate a location which is situated at the very back of the Warehouse. |
Process | Assignment of a Process to a Warehouse. A Process can, for example, define the structure of an order, or explode an order which will create tasks for the users to follow. |
Mobile | For future use. |
Transport Equipment | For future use. |
Planning UOM | For future use. This indicates which unit of measure should be used for planning purposes |
Tracking UOM | For future use. This indicates which unit of measure should be used for inventory tracking purposes. |
Costing UOM | For future use.This indicates which unit of measure should be used for costing purposes. |
Cost Accrual Method | For future use.This determines when the cost for a resource is incurred and when actual costs are charged to a project. |
Allocation Basis | For future use. |
Cumulative Allocation Units | For future use. |
Default Receiving Location | The Warehouse Location to be used as a default for receiving materials into the Warehouse. Typically this is a staging location from which materials will later be put away. |
Default WIP Location | For future use. |
Default Putaway Location | The Warehouse Location to be used as a default for the materials that are being put away in the Warehouse. This is typically an available location where materials will later be picked for shipping or production. |
Inventory Control Strategy | For future use. |
Department | The assignment of a department to the Warehouse. Each department can have its own Warehouse (e.g., the Quality Department). |
SAP Warehouse | The link between a DELMIA Apriso Warehouse and an SAP Warehouse Location. |
Calendar | The calendar that the Warehouse is associated with. |
