Each Serial and Lot in Containment has a user-definable Status. The Status of an item can be used to track it through the process of resolving a Containment issue. For details on creating new Statuses, please refer to the Containment Implementation Guide.
By default, the following Statuses are available:
Status | Description |
New | A new item added to the Containment. |
Inspect | The item must be inspected. |
Passed | Inspection has been passed, the quality of the item is good. |
Failed | Inspection failed, the quality of the item is not acceptable. |
Inform Supplier | The supplier must be informed of this item's quality problem. |
Inform Customer | The item has been shipped to a customer. The customer must be informed of the quality problem. |
Inform Contractor | The item has been shipped to a contractor. The contractor must be informed of the quality problem. |
Scrap | This item must be scrapped. |
Rework | This item must be reworked (or can be reworked) to acceptable quality. |
Downgrade | This item must be downgraded to another product number or grade that matches the quality characteristics. |
Return | This item must be returned to the supplier. |
Locate | This item must be located. |
