Overview

MPI Lite is a prepackaged operational analytics solution for DELMIA Apriso-based MES system. It provides near real-time data in form of multidimensional database that might be used by data analysts for ad-hoc reports built using pivot grids and slice-and-dice approach. MPI Lite contains objects, dimensions, KPIs, defined for DELMIA Apriso MOM and it is focused on manufacturing execution. The main idea is to deliver solution that is very easy to install and to maintain, serving analysis in a limited scope and with some limited functionality comparing to MPI. MPI Lite is upgradable to MPI (for more information, refer to MPI Installation Guide).

MPI Lite consists of a multidimensional database and objects combined in a GPM package that could be deployed on DELMIA Apriso/FlexNet release, starting from version 9.6. It contains predefined measures and dimensions, similar to the ones in MPI Intelligence Packs, but limited to the ones that are more straightforward and easier to calculate. MPI Lite inherits front-end features of MPI, like the DELMIA Apriso MPI Excel Add-in. It provides dashboards in form of Excel files. For more information, refer to MPI Excel Add-In Online Help.

From the technical perspective, MPI Lite consists of:

• A GPM package carrying database views, table definitions, and Excel dashboards (it needs to be deployed only in versions below 2016)
• Microsoft Analysis Services cube with dimensions and measures/calculation definitions
