This Menu Item type makes it possible to associate a Menu Item with a FlexPart of the following types:
The Desktop label, Desktop icon, Mobile and Text label, and Mobile icon fields (see General) are associated with the fields defined for the selected FlexPart. They are editable only when a FlexPart is selected and every change has an effect on the FlexPart configuration (for more information, refer to the FlexParts Help).
Field | Description |
FlexPart | Allows for linking a FlexPart to the Menu Item. On the selection grid, the FlexParts are filtered according to what Menu Item type was selected (e.g., for a Menu Item of the Report type, only FlexParts of the Report type will be displayed). For more information on FlexParts, refer to the FlexParts Help. |
Portal Layout | When a FlexPart is linked, the Portal layout automatically
changes to FlexPart Generic (this displays a FlexPart along with
the Function Toolbar and Navigation Toolbar in the Portal). FlexParts
of Screen type have the Portal Layout set to FlexPart FlexView
by default.
A different Portal layout can be selected depending
how we wish the FlexPart to be displayed in the Portal, but it
is important to remember that the new Portal layout must contain
a FlexPart module. If no Portal layout is selected for a Menu
Item of the Standard Operation type, the system will display the
Operation in the same way as an Operation that is not configured
as a FlexPart.
A FlexPart can be embedded in any Portal layout
with a module of the List type predefined in Portal Administration
(accessible through the DELMIA Apriso Desktop Client). For more
information on creating new Portal layouts, refer to the Portal Tabs topic in the Apriso Classic Portal
Help.
FlexParts of the FlexView type are always displayed in a standard way, regardless of which Portal layout is used (provided the chosen Portal layout supports FlexParts). FlexParts of the M&M Screen type cannot be rendered in a Web browser; therefore, Portal Layout is not available for this type. |
