The Dimensions and Coordinates tab is designed to provide the precise position of a Warehouse Location, including the particular Aisle, Row, and Tier (as described in Warehouse Location). Detailing the Warehouse Location is also possible by providing the X, Y, and Z coordinates along with their unit of measure codes. This setting enables the Warehouse operator to check how much inventory can fit in a given location. Additionally, the Dimension and Coordinates tab enables linking a map with location details. For details, see the Dimension and Coordinates section below. The Warehouse Location Dimensions link allows you to create or select the defined dimensions for the Warehouse Location.
Since a Warehouse Location can be multilevel, wherein the upper level
may be of a different size than the lower one due to some physical restraints,
two sets of coordinates are provided to enable establishing the exact
location. Each coordinate can be assigned a separate UOM code as required
by the given Warehouse Location, e.g., the X coordinate can be provided
in meters while the Y coordinate in racks.
