XML Schema Builder

The DELMIA Apriso XML Schema Builder’s main features are its improvement of the amount of time it takes a Schema Designer to construct a DELMIA Apriso XML Schema and its provision of the DAL Component Look-up capability so that the user does not need to access the DELMIA Apriso database.

Schema Builder depends on the DAL Inventory XML file called DALInventory.xml. This XML file stores all of the existing DAL Components for a given DELMIA Apriso version. As part of the DAL generation process, DALInventory.xml is also updated. When you request a DAL Component, be sure to get the new DALInventory.xml so that the update will be available in the Schema Builder. The DALInventory.xml file can be regenerated using the DELMIA Apriso Post-Upgrade Utility application on DELMIA Apriso Server.

Schema Builder generates two files for each schema design:

• One with an XML file extension, which stores the metadata used by the DELMIA Apriso XML Schema Builder
• Another with an XSD file extension, which is the DELMIA Apriso XML Schema

Schema Builder is a window application that is partitioned into three main sections:

• Main Menu
• Schema Nodes Navigation Tree
• Schema Node Property with Description
